Welcome to the Midwest Scholastic Rowing Championships! The 2009 championship races will be held May 9 and 10 on Lake Harsha, East Fork State Park, 3294 Elklick Road, Bethel, Ohio 45106. Cincinnati Country Day School and Clermont High School Crew will host the event. All races are 1500 meters. Events are offered in singles, pairs, doubles, quads, coxed fours and eights for students in novice, lightweight and varsity categories. The course is fully buoyed with starting platforms. The course is a no wake area and is patrolled by Ohio Department of Natural Resources 

The 2009 MSRA Championships will be a USRowing registered regatta. All races are conducted under Midwest Scholastic Rowing Association (MSRA) and USRowing rules of racing.

5:  Merge onto US-23 S/ I-475 S via the ramp on the LEFT toward MAUMEE.  8.0 mi 6:  Merge onto I-75 S via EXIT 1A toward DAYTON.  175.3 mi 7:  Merge onto I-275 E via EXIT 16 toward I-71/ COLUMBUS.  20.8 mi 8:  Merge onto OH-32 E via EXIT 63B toward BATAVIA.  0.8 mi 9:  Take the EASTGATE BLVD ramp.  0.1 mi 10:  Stay STRAIGHT to go onto ramp.  0.3 mi 11:  Turn RIGHT onto EASTGATE BLVD.  0.1 mi 12:  End at 4501 Eastgate Blvd. Cincinnati, OH 45245

DIRECTIONS TO REGATTA from hotel

1:  Start out going SOUTHWEST on EASTGATE BLVD.  0.2 mi 2:  Merge onto OH-32 E via the ramp on the LEFT.  4.6 mi 3:  Take the MAIN ST ramp toward BATAVIA.  0.2 mi 4:  Keep RIGHT at the fork to go on W MAIN ST.  0.6 mi 5:  Turn RIGHT onto FOUNDRY AVE/OH-132/CLOUGH PIKE. Continue to follow OH-132.  4.5 mi 6:  Turn LEFT onto OH-125.  3.0 mi 7:  Turn LEFT onto BANTAM RD/OLD OH-125.  0.2 mi 8:  Turn LEFT onto ELKLICK RD.  0.6 mi 9:  End at 3294 Elklick Rd Bethel, OH 45106-9327

Parking for Regatta

Please refer to aerial photo of East Fork State Park (below) for clarification and locations of the parking lots and the beach area as described.

Due to the limited amount of parking at the Beach regatta site, traffic will be controlled in the following ways:

1. Thursday and Friday- Teams will be allowed to unload their boats and set-up their team tents on Thursday and Friday without any restrictions as to time and parking though the beach road access will be closed by the Park Rangers at 11pm. Teams are to place their boats to the right of the beach as they enter the beach area down the hill from the park entrance. After unloading the boats, trailers will be moved to the parking lot at the top of the hill (as you come down to the beach area). No trailers can remain at the beach due to the limited area and limited parking spaces. Team tents are to be set up in the marked area to the left on the grass between the concession tent and the beach. Tent placement is on a "first come" basis.

2. Saturday and Sunday-Teams will be allowed in the parking lot at the beach from 5:00am-7:00am for unloading their boats and dropping off their teams and equipment. At 7:00am the access to the beach area will be curtailed and you will be asked to park in one of the out-lying parking lots and a shuttle service will be provided from those lots to the beach. Cars with handicap tags will be allowed to park at the beach parking lot at all times.

3. Teams with buses are asked to unload at the farthest row from the entrance to the parking lot. The curve at the end is a very tight fit for large tour buses and East Fork State Park has limited bus turn around to that row due to damage to the median. Buses will ONLY be allowed to park in the last parking lots. We ask bus drivers to park at an angle as directed by the lot attendant in order to maximize space availability. Once those lots are filled buses will be directed to park at an out-lying lot and shuttle service will be provided for the drivers to and from the beach area.

4. Teams will be allowed to load boats and equipment at the end of racing on Saturday and Sunday. At that time, access to the beach will be allowed as parking becomes available.
