I have reserved a block of rooms at Pittsburgh Marriott North in Cranberry, PA for the regatta at Moraine State Park in Butler, PA which takes place on Sunday, May 2.  This is a mandatory overnight for the girls, and their hotel rooms are covered by your NDA Crew Fees.  They will stay in rooms with their boat mates.  We will travel to Pittsburgh on Saturday, May 1.  I have reserved several rooms from the block for the girls and coaches, but you need to call the number below to reserve a room from the block ("Notre Dame Academy Crew Room Block") for you and your family if you are going.  

 

This was the closest accommodation to Moraine State Park that I could find that could accommodate our large group (it's 16 miles away), and doesn't have smokey and musty smelling rooms (as we have experienced with another hotel in the Butler, PA area).  I did the best I could with pricing.  The normal rate for this hotel is $139.  We were able to block rooms at a rate of $109.  The rooms all have a king bed and a full size pull-out sofa.  We are first on the list for any rooms with 2 double beds that become available.     

 

There is a Fairfield Inn near the Marriott which would give us a rate of $89, but most of the rooms have outside doorway access vs. inside hallway access (they could not guarantee us inside hallway access rooms for all the girls), and it was determined that we would not feel safe with the girls in rooms with doors that open directly outside.  If you would like to make a reservation at the Fairfield Inn for you and your family, you are more than welcome to.  The phone number to call is 724.772.0600.  The Fairfield Inn's rate also includes a free continental breakfast.

Individual attendees will make reservations for the Event directly with Pittsburgh Marriott North reservations at 1-800-228-9290 or 724-772-3700.

 

CUT-OFF DATE

 

Reservations by attendees must be received on or before  Friday, April 9, 2010.  Hotel will review the reservation pick up for the Event, release the unreserved rooms for general sale, and determine whether or not it can accept reservations based on a space- and rate-available basis at the Notre Dame Academy group rate after this date.
